36% of Kenyans live in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL). Most of these people have no reliable electricity or stable bandwidth data connectivity. ZIDI Solar, through our highly affordable, online, Home- and Productive-Use devices (Charging Kiosk, MIFI, WIFI CPE, and Egg Incubator) allows the vulnerable to begin the transformation to intelligent, collaborative productivity.

We have a deep foundation in Engineering. Innovating and developing solutions that are unique for the African continent.

Solar Solutions

We have experience in Solar Solutions for over 7 years, serving customers across 31 out of 47 counties in Kenya; extensive experience delivering and installing in the harshest Rural markets.

Track Record

Established a healthy track record of installing more than 800 solar systems to over 500 happy customers. In addition, we have provided 90 PV Offgrid systems across 45 schools across Turkana, West-Pokot, Garissa counties

Project Development

We are the first Commercial Solar PV captive (600kWp Rooftop) Company in Kenya. Further created the First Evacuated-Tube Solar Swimming Pool Thermal collector in East Africa.

Zidi Solar has aligned itself with B2B, B2C business models. our B2C is through Channel Partners and Last-Mile Entrepreneurs and the B2B model through Financial Intermediaries and organized groups who offer loans and address customers at scale.  

Revenue Model

We are uniquely placed to provide a solution that is 50% cheaper than competitors in the market while also ensuring we maintain a strong gross margin coupled with a healthy channel margin which has translated to our local presence. Profits are reinvested in scaling up intelligent devices for consumers to become connected producers.
